The HSE defines work-related violence as: ‘Any incident in which a person is abused, threatened or assaulted in circumstances relating to their work’. Within minutes, the Police had arrived on the scene to restore order and apprehend the aggressors. The hotel’s General Manager was also contacted during the emergency to be informed of the situation, as per the Hotel’s personalised emergency escalation instructions.
