Skyguard are pleased to announce we will be presenting a Seminar on ‘Delivering Effective Lone Worker Protection in the UK and Internationally’, at the Counter Terror Expo held at London’s Olympia on Wednesday 25th April.
The seminar which starts at 2.25pm, will explore the risks Lone Worker Policies should address and explain the latest technologies and solutions that are available to deliver Lone Worker protection, both in the UK and abroad.
Skyguard will also be demonstrating our range of personal safety solutions throughout the two-day event on the Radiocoms Systems stand – number C100.

Thanks to the help of Skyguard, The Wildlife Trust are celebrating their centenary year with a fun new challenge for companies.
Corporate teams from across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire will have just 6 hours to visit as many Wildlife Trust nature reserves as they can – in fancy dress! Saturday 22nd September 2012 is Reserve It! day where corporate teams will be using their skills in planning, decision making and leadership along with their Skyguard tracking devices to travel around the counties visiting as many nature reserves as possible.
Teams will need to decide the best route to take to gain as many points as possible with different reserves being worth different points. Skyguard is supporting this team event by providing the Wildlife Trust with key fob sized GPS tracking devices for each team to monitor their progress through the day.
Teams will be given extra points for using innovative transport and the best fancy dress. In the lead up to the event teams will also be challenged to raise £1000 to help the
Skyguard are pleased to announce that we will be showcasing our range of lone worker personal safety devices and service at IFSEC International 2012. The event, which takes place from the 14th – 17th May at the NEC arena in Birmingham is Europe’s leading annual safety and security event.
Skyguard will be part of the all-new Lone Worker Protection Product Area, which focuses on lone working safety and security.
We will be demonstrating our range of personal safety devices, such as the MySOS – Europe’s smallest dedicated lone worker alarm, the GEMshield – accredited with ACPO’s coveted ‘Secured by Design’ and our mobile GPS software… all accredited to BS8484. In addition, we’ll be showcasing our International service – the only one of its kind to offer 24/7 protection in 36 countries across Europe, the Russian Federation and South Africa – embracing the International theme of the event.

Skyguard will be exhibiting at the Safer Lone Working Conference – a one day interactive conference exploring issues of personal safety whilst lone working.
The event, held on Thursday 26th April 2012 at Celtic Football Club in Glasgow, is organised by the Suzy Lamplugh Trust – the only national charity dedicated to providing practical information and advice about how to reduce the risks of violence and aggression in the workplace.
The day will include interactive group sessions and engaging workshops run by leading consultants. All aspects of safer lone working will be covered, from choosing a personal safety service to protect your lone workers to conducting personal safety risk assessments.
The conference will be opened at 9.30am by special guest Phil Hanlon, Professor of Public Health at the University of Glasgow.

Skyguard are proud to announce that we provided 24/7 protection to Team GB throughout the London 2012 Games. Security staff and key personnel of Great Britain men’s and women’s football teams were issued MySOS personal safety devices to ensure protection wherever they were.
A gagging order which prevented businesses from promoting their involvement in supplying goods and services to London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been lifted, allowing us to publicise our involvement last summer.
Skyguard were approached by the Security Innovation and Technology Consortium (SITC) to join their project which gave UK companies an opportunity to showcase innovative technologies at the London 2012 games, whilst implementing a security regime to keep the athletes, spectators and host cities safe and secure.
Although the Olympics represented a significant opportunity for the UK Security Sector to demonstrate advances in technology, it also had to be of a tried and tested standard in an operational capacity. Skyguard’s premier personal safety service met both criteria.
