Today, Skyguard are set to launch an updated version of our lone working app for the iOS platform. Available for download, the new BS 8484:2016 certified application allows users to raise an alarm at the press of a button if they feel they are in danger.
Now compatible with the wearable SmartButton accessory, an alert can be activated without even unlocking the phone’s keypad. The compact unit, which is only 1.3 inches in diameter can be subtly worn on a wristband, keychain, pendant or belt clip. This provides another way to get help, particularly useful in difficult circumstances when a user wants to get assistance discreetly.
Skyguard for Smartphone is available for the three major mobile platforms, iPhone, Android and Windows. Using the application transforms a Smartphone into a fully functional personal safety device, ideal for vulnerable individuals and those working alone who don’t wish to carry a standalone alarm.
The service is backed up by our Incident Management Centre who are on hand around the clock to manage emergency alarms and follow user’s personal escalation procedures. Making use of GPS and the latest mobile technology a unit’s location can also be tracked, enabling the emergency services to pinpoint a user’s whereabouts.
